Ollie Thompson, a Nigerian-British woman living in London, quit her well-paying corporate banking job to start a snail business. Looking for a change from the monotony of 9-to-5 she found joy in selling snail food to Londoners.
It all started when she found a snail rummaging in her home and this prompted her to research snail farming in the UK. She identified a gap in the market.
In Nigeria snails are usually prepared sautéed or fried with some onions and peppers and it’s called peppered snails.
